Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) views the body as a garden, not a machine. Health is harmony. Illness is an imbalance. Chinese herbalism draws upon thousands of years of experience, blending bark, root, flower, and fungi to restore qi, the body’s vital energy.
Where Western science isolates chemicals, TCM sees synergy. Ginseng is never just ginseng. It becomes a story when combined with licorice root, astragalus, or angelica. Each herb is chosen not just for its biological impact but for its energetic influence. Is it warm or cool? Invigorate or calm? Does it nourish the liver or anchor the heart? There’s poetry here. Rehmannia for blood. Schisandra for the spirit. Chrysanthemum for the eyes clouded by anger or too much screen time. The genius of Chinese herbs lies not just in what they treat but how they’re understood, relationally, intuitively, and through pulse and tongue.
Jian Wang’s Story & Philosophy
J. Wang is the soul of our Traditional Chinese Medicine practice. A healer, philosopher, and teacher, his work is rooted in the Yellow Emperor’s teachings, a tradition where the body is seen as a unified system, not fragmented parts. J. Wang teaches that the Five Elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water – live within us and must remain in balance for true wellness. He says, “Healing is not about control. It is about flow. The heart and the body must move together with nature.”
His mother, Gui Fang, an exceptional Chinese Medicine Doctor, steeped in ancestral wisdom and steadfast loyalty, was his first cherished mentor.
Her legacy flows through every treatment he gives, like the fragrance of Osmanthus. He dreams of opening the Yellow Emperor Teaching School at our centre, a space to train new healers who has interest in genuine TCM Knowledge. This dream is already beginning to take root.
